Dr. Rucker will be participating in the Center for Advanced Study of Behavioral Sciences Summer Institute on Diversity at Stanford University
The Center for Advanced Study of Behavioral Sciences (CASBS, for short) Summer Institute is a two-week institute where emerging scholars from underrepresented backgrounds engage in field building around social scientific investigation of why, how and when difference makes a difference. Dr. Jennifer Richeson Receives Thibaut Award at UNC Chapel Hill
Dr. Jennifer Richeson, Philip R. Allen Professor of Psychology at Yale University, received the 2024 John Thibaut Award.
The Thibaut Award is given by UNC Social Psychology graduate students to an intellectual that inspires research in social psychology. The award is named after an influential social psychologist and former UNC professor, Dr. John Thibaut.
Dr. Richeson presented “The Mythology of Racial Progress” at her Thibaut Award lecture.

Asha Hinson receives NSF GRFP Award

Manuel Galvan defends his dissertation, “Understanding the Distribution of Anti-Black Discrimination: A Study of Hiring, Housing, Judicial Decisions, and Policy Beliefs”
Manuel Galvan successfully defended his dissertation “Understanding the Distribution of Anti-Black Discrimination: A Study of Hiring, Housing, Judicial Decisions, and Policy Beliefs”. This fall, he will be heading to New York University to start a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Stern Business School. Congrats, Dr. Galvan!
